Freeman Software was established in 2004 by the current owner and key developer, David Freeman.

From the outset, our Wellington based business has provided customised software solutions to businesses throughout New Zealand. We have supported businesses across a wide range of industries, from niche telecommunication installation businesses through to larger manufacturing, insurance, and superannuation businesses.

We pride ourselves on providing tailored business software solutions that meet and address the true business need and are compatible with our clients’ businesses software environment.

Profile: David Freeman

David is a professional software developer with a wide range of experience in developing customised software for businesses over more than 20 years.

His experience is over a wide range of industries, from supporting small single site specialist businesses through to larger multi site organisations. His expertise has been utilised by both the public and private sectors.

His hands-on experience includes all aspects of the software development cycle. This includes:

Analysis and definition of business and software requirements
Identification of optimal software solutions
Software development and customisation
Compatibility and functionality testing
On-site installation
Development of supporting documentation

In addition to his software development skills, David has a strong ability to identify key areas for business improvement, primarily focusing on the way businesses process and utilise information. This often extends into the software development process, identifying suitable solutions ranging from developing a new system or implementing changes to the existing system.

David enjoys working closely with businesses, to improve and refine overall business processes. He enjoys the challenge of developing and implementing technology solutions that offer efficiencies and savings to businesses.

David has a Bachelor of Science degree from Otago University and a post-graduate Diploma of Business Administration from Victoria University.
