Customer Database

Customer information in one central place!

Freeman Software's Customer Database can be used on its own to store all your contact information, as a base for further development, say for prospecting, or as part of another system, like Freeman Software's
Manufacturing & Stock Control System.

Freeman Software’s Customer Database & Customer Relationship solution provides a single repository for all the information you need about the People or Companies you deal with. A single repository is vital to ensure that you always know that what you see is accurate and up to date.

The following shows a sample of the more user-oriented screens from Freeman Software's Customer Relationship Management system.

Searching

So how do you find your customers? This screen is used to locate a person or organisation. Search by name or by any of your customer codes.

Identity Search
If you know a word or the start of a word in the person's name, this can be entered into the name field and the program will list all people with a matching word in their name. Similarly for companies. The program will 'remember' the last five names you enter.

The section labelled indices shows the user-defined search keys which are available. For example, if we know the customer number we can key it into the correct line and only single customer will be found. This may be quicker than searching for all the 'Smith's in your database.

The lower portion of the screen is where a matching list will be displayed. For example, if you enter 'Smith' then all the Smiths in your database will be listed here.

External Identity Numbers

This screen shows that different customer codes or numbers may be assigned to a person or organisation. Frequently these numbers or codes come from other systems you are using.

Identity Numbers
In the example, Winnie has been given a 'Customer Number' of 'Pooh' and an 'Account Number' of 'P80012'. This means that either of these numbers may be used in the search screen, above, to find Winnie's details.

External Identity Numbers or customer codes are particularly useful if your other systems are based on Customer Numbers or Policy Numbers.
