Throughout the development project we consult regularly with our client to ensure all business requirements are fully captured and no critical element is overlooked. At Freeman Software, we take the time to listen, to truly understand your business needs and your software requirements.

We identify the approach and solution that is right for your business. We consider and evaluate the key factors that will drive and impact on a successful software solution, e.g. system compatibility, scalability to accommodate business growth, and requirements/need for future IT support.

Base Module vs Full Development

After the initial assessment, we will discuss with you our preferred approach. This usually involves one of the following:

• Customisation of one of our pre-built base modules, implementing the required and necessary changes; or
• Full software development, for a fully tailored solution.

Freeman’s Approach to Customised Software Solutions

Our approach for undertaking customised software development primarily follows the following key steps:

• An initial on-site meeting to clarify and discuss core business needs, technology concerns, system compatibility requirements etc.
• We then provide an initial scoping and pricing document clarifying the software customisation and/or development scope, functionality requirements, recommendation of approach, and estimate pricing.
• We undertake a follow-up meeting (in person or by phone) to further discuss key points arising from the document and answer any further client questions/concerns etc.
• We gain agreement on the proposed solution and determine the customisation/development approach and the implementation path.
• Where appropriate, we develop wireframe diagrams and undertake a review meeting to ensure all functionality and system requirements are captured.
• We proceed to get signoff of customisation and/or development requirements with client.
• We undertake software customisation and/or development, testing, and software roll out.
• We provide ongoing system support and maintenance as and when required.

Most importantly, we provide a single point of contact for the entirety of the project. This means you interact and meet with the same developer at all stages of the project.
